Propeller Ham Radio. Pasha Posts: 56. 2008-09-23 - 14:04:30 edited 2008-09-23 - 18:28:50 in Propeller 1. I am kinda new to the propeller chip and everything. I bought it to make a robot with, but in the process of learning spin, i found out that it has some great features that could be used for Ham Radio. I succesfully built an AM transmiter ...

What is the Difference Between 3 Blade and 4 Blade Propellers? We recommend 3-blade propellers for recreational boats with 3, 4, and 6 cylinder outboards and I/0 engines. 3-blades provide good "hole shot" and top-speed performance. We recommend 4-blade propellers for bass boats and those with high performance hulls running high horsepower outboard engines.
The MAX PROP provides 80% greater reverse power. than a comparable fixed blade propeller. In reverse the blades rotate 180° in ¾ turn of shaft. giving the MAX PROP the same efficiency in reverse as in forward. The pitch is adjustable on all Max Props. This allows you to optimize the propeller pitch. to the engine to achieve maximum efficiency.

Design Elements: Propeller Sizes are given in a set of numbers, e.g. 13x17 or 19x23 usually labeled on the propeller. The first number is the Diameter (width of the circle of the blades) and the second is the Pitch (theoretical travel distance of the angled blades in one revolution).. Two other design features include Rake and Cup.These elements are not labeled on the propeller.

The grey line is a band around the Earth that separates the daylight from darkness. Radio propagation along the grey line is very efficient. One major reason for this is that the D layer, which absorbs HF signals, disappears rapidly on the sunset side of the grey line, and it has not yet built upon the sunrise side. Ham radio operators and ...
Apr 23, 2010 · Re: AM/FM antenna different from vhf antenna? Sounds to me as if you should ditch the radio altogether and use your cell phone for emergencies. If an 8' destroys the ambiance of the boat, a 4'er won't do much for it, either. the windings in the short fiberglass antenna are totally different than the copper windings in the 8 ft VHF antenna.
